Nepal. Alte, große, dunkle Bronze-Figur. Polychrome und Kaltgoldbemalung. Aureole und Podest separat gefertigt und abnehmbar. H. 54,5 cm. Gewicht 5596 g. Aus privater Sammlung.

Die Hände des vorherigen Buddhas zeigen das abhaya und das varada mudra. Aufrecht vor Aureole auf doppeltem Lotospodest stehend. Sanftmütiger Gesichtsausdruck. Mehrblättrige Krone, königlichen Schmuck und langes, verziertes Gewand tragend. Bodenplatte mit Siegel. Leichte Altersspuren und Abrieb. Bemalung wohl erneuert. Sehr imposante und zugleich fein gearbeitete Darstellung.

The hands of the Buddha showing the abhaya and the varada mudra. Standing upright in front of an aureole on a double lotus pedestal. Meek facial expression. Wearing a multi-leaved crown, royal jewelry and a long, adorned robe. Consecration plate with seal. Slight signs of age and wear. Painting probably renewed. Very impressive and finely casted sculpture.
