Bodhisattva Padmapani.

Tibetische Skulptur im Pala-Stil. Antike Bronze mit Resten von Feuervergoldung. H. 18 cm (7.1"). Gewicht 560 g. Aus deutscher Privatsammlung.

Die Hände zeigen das varada und das vitarka mudra. In tribhanga auf doppeltem Lotospodest, dem zwei große Lotospflanzen entsprießen, stehend. Die Finger der linken Hand halten einen der Lotosstängel. Ushnisha mit Darstellung Buddha Amitabhas. Mehrblättrige Krone, Kleidung und Schmuck eines erleuchteten Bodhisattvas tragend. Boden verschlossen mit gesiegelter Kupferplatte. Abrieb und Altersspuren.

His hands showing the varada and the vitarka mudra. Standing in tribhanga on a double lotus pedestal. Two long lotus flowers growing out of the pedestal. The Bodhisattva’s left hand holding a stem of one of them. Ushnisha with small Buddha depiction. Wearing a multi-leaved crown as well as the jewels and clothes of an enlightened Bodhisattva. Bottom covered with copper consecration plate with seal. Wear and signs of age.
